ATHLETIC FORM-FOCUSED PILATES

THE WORKOUT

Feel strong and look your best! Natural Pilates offers an athletic approach to classical Pilates choreography. Our attention to detail and focus on form coupled with level-appropriate resistance will engage your muscles for a full-body burn and increase your strength. Our class programming style and focus on movement intention will deepen your body awareness. To keep it fun and effective we use Natural Pilates props, such as ankle weights, Booty bands, Flex bands, the Pilates ball and the Pilates Circle. Get your props here!

  • Our classes are athletic in nature, meaning we group exercises by muscular focus and we do more reps than classical Pilates, but our classes are appropriate for all levels because our instructors are trained to regress and progress exercises. We can increase or decrease the challenge by adding props or using different spring resistance. Through our use of muscle-focused programming, props, reps and resistance, you will feel a full-body activation in every class.

  • Be sure to turn your camera on during livestream classes so that our talented and highly-trained instructors will ensure your form is correct so that you feel the exercise appropriately and safely. We also offer modifications to assist or challenge clients as needed.

  • We have distilled many of the highly choreographed classical Pilates exercises into simple movements that anyone can follow. These simple movements will bring awareness to the muscles we are trying to activate. Simple choreography is more efficient.

  • Our bodies find ways to compensate as a protective mechanism to avoid pain and discomfort or due to poor joint mechanics. Our method aims to retrain your mind and body to recruit the correct muscle groups. It's not just about moving — it's about how you move and where you initiate the movement from.

  • Our goal is for clients to feel the work in specific muscles. We use lower resistance combined with higher reps until muscle fatigue. As the muscles get stronger, clients can increase the resistance and add props, so they never plateau. We work the same muscle group in different ways until activation is achieved.

  • In 55 min, we are able to hit all muscle groups and give clients a full-body workout (unless it’s a specific target-training class). The goal is to feel a good burn for the day, but unlike cardio, you can do Pilates everyday. Our full-body workouts will give you a feeling of connection and empowerment.

She first learned about discipline and setting goals when she was on the National Archery Team in her home country of Romania, where she earned two national titles. Natural Pilates embodies Laura's expression of focus and dedication for anyone that is open to grow and change. We want to help educate our communities on how to build strength, flexibility and mindfulness through exercise! Fitness is a lifestyle!
